With more than 12 years in the mortgage industry, including over seven years with AAFMAA Mortgage Services, LLC as one of the original members of its mortgage division, he brings deep experience and a lifelong connection to the military community. Raised in a Navy family, with both parents serving and his father retiring after 24 years as a Senior Chief, he understands the realities of military life firsthand. Before entering mortgage lending, he spent 11 years in higher education helping create scholarship programs that allowed active-duty servicemembers to attend school with no out-of-pocket cost.

He is known for his expertise in VA lending and for guiding borrowers to the best option when a VA loan is not the right fit. His work spans VA purchases and refinances, IRRRLs, investment and second-home loans, second mortgages, FHA loans for first-time buyers, and construction financing for servicemembers and Veterans. Clients value his hands-on, education-first approach. He takes the time to explain credit, down payment strategy, points, lender credits, and closing cost options so borrowers can make informed decisions that benefit them both now and long term.

Based in the Virginia Beach area and licensed across multiple states from Maryland to Florida and west to Tennessee, Alabama, and Texas, he has helped many clients overcome barriers to homeownership, including guiding a recently separated single mother from low credit to approval and significant equity within two years. Outside of work, he is an avid saltwater angler and custom fishing rod builder, bringing the same patience, preparation, and dedication to his clients that he brings to the water.
